We are absolutely delighted to share that we are the winners of the Great British Food Awards in the Fish and Seafood category for our cooked cockles. The awards celebrate the finest home grown ingredients and was judged by Mitch Tonks - his feedback was fantastic and humbling too - appreciating the care and passion we have to produce our cooked cockles.
The journey from sea to plate is at the heart of our 140 year history. Our boat Mary Amelia LO86 allows us to fish cockles efficiently and sustainably (the fishery was awarded MSC in the UK - Certified Sustainable Seafood in 2020) and our state of the art factory is designed to produce a cockle that retains as much whole meat and flavour whilst removing as much grit as possible for our customers.
We are immensely proud of our team that continue to support us with our ventures, and share our vision to always strive to get the best product. Our cockles are always available from our cafe and fishmongers, best served with our non-brewed vinegar and white pepper!
