Our cockle season began in June this year. Our cockle boat Mary Amelia, factory and all the people that help fish and process are busy bringing the catch in and preparing the cockles ready for our customers in the UK and further afield. Grab a pint of cockles from our fishmonger or café, they simply are food heaven with a dash of our own vinegar blend and white pepper! We’ve been working late and early tides, so you might not have seen the boat land, but look out for it if you’re visiting us during this season as it goes out and then unloads on our dock behind the café. We’ll be cockling until the beginning of October this year.
